What makes you tick?
It may be very different for all of us, but finding the flame of inspiration is possibly one of the most important things we can do for our soul. For me it is creativity and creating. Whether it is my artwork, sculptures, pottery, gardening, decorating or a new hobby to explore, I always need to have a project to keep my mind focused on. Without it my mind will find unhealthy things to occupy that space.
Where does your inspiration come from?
It comes to me when I am reconnecting with nature. I often carry a tiny notebook with me when I walk in the woods, so that I can sketch out ideas which pop into my mind. When there isn't time for a woodsy escape I sit in the sunshine while I take an afternoon break, bundling up with hats and giant coats when it's cold out. I take a walk around my neighborhood and leave my phone behind. After dinner we often light a campfire to decompress from all of the hours spent sitting at our computers.
The pictured ornament design depicts gazing up at the moon and stars through the trees. It is one of my favorite things to do while camping! That image has been burned into my mind for a very long time, I'm glad that I finally thought to share it with you!
True inspiration doesn't come from following others, it comes from within. Listen to your soul. You have all of the answers which you are searching for.
